Adding a Word in a Sentence

This awesome skill boosts their phonological awareness and helps them understand and use longer sentences like language superheroes. Ready to try the Grow the Sentence Challenge? Use the sentences below to get you started or as inspiration, but then move to topics that your kids love, that will make the game even more fun!

Deleting a Word in a Sentence

Being a word magician means also knowing how to make words disappear! Taking away a word from a sentence sharpens your child’s phonological awareness – a super important skill. Let’s play the “Sentence Eraser” game to practice this skill. You can use these sentences to get you started!

Substitution in a Sentence

Now, let’s level up and become sentence sorcerers by swapping words. This is like a real word adventure, where your child gets to change words and still make perfect sense.
